Forklift brake job
In your forklift one of the most important safety items is brake and you have to check it in your daily checklist. The forklift is really heavy equipment in the warehouse and if your forklift doesn’t have a good break it will be dangerous for the driver and all the people that they are working around it.
If you don’t do maintenance on your brake it will cost you a lot of money.
- Every 200 hours you have to clean the shoes and drum
- Every 2000 hours you have to check the drums

- In the brake system, handbrake is an important part that time to time have to adjust because the shoes and drum or disk due to friction are separated and you can also adjust your shoes without open the drum just from the back of the drums from the hole that is embedded for.
- In the stand-up forklift same as reach forklift or dock stocker the brake will work with the legs and then remove the leg from the dead man pedal the brake system will involve.
- Brake job can cost you a big money if you don’t do the maintenance and service of your forklift.
- The fluid brake also has to change when you change the master cylinder or wheel cylinder and have to bleed it with the bolt or screw that they embedded to bleed the brake fluid.
